Bob’s career in volunteerism started when he was in college at Culver Stockton University. While at Culver Stockton, Bob made a bond with the people of Jamaica while helping to build a high school boy’s dormitory. Bob joined Rotary in 1985 and became a member of the North Kansas City club in 1989. He has served his club in numerous positions including club president and has served as the clubs international service chair for the last 10 years. The Jamaica Medical Mission has just completed its 11th mission. Over the last 10 years, the mission has grown to include 40 volunteers each year, including doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and optometrists; Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike. Over the last 10 years, Bob has also asked for the partnership of surrounding clubs to enhace the effectiveness of the mission. The mission is now the largest group of medical professionals to come to Jamaica each year from the United States and Canada to provide medical services to the people in need. Congratulations to Bob and the North Kansas City Rotary Club.
