The Rotary Club of Independence is helping with the renovation of the new Peace Museum at 607 W. Lexington in Independence.  The club raised $3,500 which was matched by the Kimbrough Challenge in Rotary District 6040.  The 3:1 match means that a grand total of $14,000 was enough to underwrite paint and supplies, carpet tiles, new decking for the outside handicapped ramp and more.
Club members had the opportunity to put in some sweat equity by helping to paint the interior.
