The Raytown Rotary Club is working with the Kitwe-North Rotary Club in Zambia to bring water supply to the GG 2238560 Lumpuma Rural Health Centre in rural Zambia.  Recently the Rotary Club of Kitwe North visited the Lumpuma Project to monitor the progress.  Direct water supply to the health centre is critical for their operations.
The construction of the Mother’s Shelter and the Ablution Block are 60% complete.  The ramps to all the structures at the clinic are done.  The construction of the toilet and shower in the Maternity Ward was suspended temporarily because there were patients constantly in the Ward.  The sinking of the borehole is complete.  What remains is the erection of a tank stand, installation of the tank and plumbing works to connect water to all offices, Wards, Ablution Blocks and Mother’s Shelter etc.  The materials for all the plumbing works, the electricals have been purchased already.

By mid November 2023, the Project will be complete and handed over.
