The Liberty Rotary Club has been busy helping in their community during this pandemic. They have been donating fabric for the construction of face masks, funds to The Liberty Hospital Foundation’s frontline fundraiser and to their requested needs of sani-wipes, brown paper lunch bags, toilet paper, snacks & sanitizer just to mention a few. Members have been supporting local businesses & non profits with E-Cards for Hair Therapy and providing egg cartons to Mimi’s Pantry.
They have also been:
- Donating gift cards for groceries to Hillcrest Hope
- Donating items to Norterre for resident game times
- Donating meat to Hillcrest Hope’s requested needs for their families
- Donating gift cards to Life Unlimited thanking their direct support professionals
- Ordering Take-Out Dinners to support local restaurants weekly
- Continuing weekly offerings to the local church
- Contributing food to local food pantries
- Purchasing gas and groceries at community businesses
They have been caring for people by:
- Delivering groceries, medicines and checking on elderly friends while visiting through the windows
- Checking on our elderly parents and assisting with errands and meals
- Waving and or smiling to passing walkers
