Opportunities for specialized international travel and study are available for youth through young and seasoned professionals.

A very select group of 10 university students or recent students are chosen each year as International Peace Scholars. They will gain a unique experience in one of six centers around the world which will lead to a Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Peace and Conflict resolution. Another select group of 25 fellows at a time will be invited to participate in a three month Certificate program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok Thailand .

Selection for both of these programs is very competitive. District 6040 currently has two individuals in the final application stages for the Master’s degree program and we need to begin seeking young applicants to represent District 6040 next year as well.

Now is the time to begin getting the word out to outstanding young scholars who have aspirations of making an impact on world peace through an appropriate career or to individuals who may be able to advise young individuals to apply. Applicants with current or previous relevant experiences will be helpful.
