RI Convention
A Rotary Convention is an event like no other, a time to connect with Rotarians you wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance to meet.  By meeting Rotarians from across the world, you can understand the international scope of Rotary and what can be accomplished through it.  The Los Angeles convention offers a host of resources for international service and fellowship: inspiring plenary speakers, informative workshops, the Club and District Projects Exhibition, the House of Friendship, and so much more.  As the movie capital of the world and a center for shopping and international cuisine, Los Angeles offers much to see and do outside the convention venue as well.  And the Host Organization Committee promises to keep convention goers highly entertained with events at the Hollywood Bowl, Nokia Theatre, and more.

Plan to attend the Rotary International Convention in Los Angeles, June 15 through 18, 2008.  Early registration is due before December 15.  For information or to Register go to the Rotary web site www.rotary.org.

While you’re attending the Convention, don’t miss the Heart of America Breakfast!  Join your Rotary colleagues from your club, from district 6040 and from Zones 29 and 30 for a celebration with Rotarians from the Heartland.  The Heart of America breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17th, at 7:00 a.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  Tickets are $35 and are available by contacting DGE Elizabeth Usovicz at  eusovicz@kc.rr.com or 913-638-8693.
